About the Course

Any healthcare professional with current basic life support (BLS) training can benefit from the CodePRep program. This includes but is not limited to registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, certified nursing assistants, respiratory therapists, students, emergency medical technicians, paramedics, physicians, providers, and other rapid response team members.

In addition to hospitals and long-term care facilities, other healthcare settings that could benefit from the CodePRep program include outpatient clinics, urgent care centers, and skilled nursing facilities. Schools of nursing, medical schools, and allied health programs could also benefit from incorporating CodePRep training into their curricula.

The objectives include identifying signs of patient deterioration, gaining confidence in resuscitation during the first few minutes, and demonstrating proper use of emergency equipment.

The course is designed for learners to recognize, classify, and confirm core concepts within the CodePRep modules through click-and-reveal activities, scenario-based learning, and knowledge checks.

The course follows adult learning theory principles and includes interactive activities, scenario-based learning, gamification, and knowledge checks at the end of each module.
